I met Whitney last year through the girls who do my hair in Reno. Whitney does my brows. She made me grow them back in, and she won’t allow me to pluck. So when I can’t handle it anymore, I make the trek to Reno for her to make me look presentable again. Throughout the year she’s shown me photos of her son, Miles, and I distinctly remember a video of him skiing through the half pipe at Squaw. This is one kid I have to photograph. Thus it just came about time, since Christmas is near, and Whitney wanted to get some photos of her and Miles together. But there was a catch for me to photograph. She had to agree to film. Actually that and she had to feed me. She agreed to both (ha! I love it when I get my way!) Plus I knew I couldn’t go wrong with them, they’re freaking gorgeous to photograph. I think if I ever have a son, I’d want him to be like Miles. We took a couple hours in Caughlin Ranch to photograph, and it didn’t even look like autumn yet. I mean the flowers! Holy hell, So awesome. Whitney’s going to be my photographic victim again this winter with her snow boots (and film again!). I can’t wait for snow. (Pray for snow!) Photographed on my Mamiya 6 and my Canon A2E. I have a few dates available for portrait sessions just in time for Christmas cards. Catch is…I will only photograph with film. Inquire for more details!
