I’m slowly getting settled attempting to reach out to other photographers in the Reno/Tahoe community, and trying to find some work. Friday night I went to a new store opening in Truckee called Riverstone and Lake Tahoe Yarn Company. I met photographer Court Leve, who had a gallery show with their store opening. He was so kind to meet with me and talk shop with me about photography and how he has established his photography career in Truckee. On a side note, I’m recovering from my Reno Santa Pub Crawl last night, which I didn’t go to crawl, but to shoot for me (Initial edit on SportsShooter). As the night came closer to an end, wandering around the Reno sign, amongst thousands of Santas and Mrs. Clauses, I so felt a sense of peace that I believe I have finally found my home. It’s such a nice light bulb feeling. But then I was bounded in four layers of clothing, and the drunk joy of the Santas was a definite inspiration. Welcome home to me.
