Laurie and Drew’s wedding was in the middle of a triple header for me. That first weekend in August was a killer, but so much fun. It’s like I was being overloaded with a drug I love so much. Being included in the celebrations, waiting for the moments, from the wind blowing to identical smiles to the quietness of the celebrations. I scored big time on this weekend, with Laurie and Drew’s wedding on the Saturday, and incredibly amazing freaky weather that only Tahoe has (actually Flagstaff has the same weather as well and light, which was part of my evolution, moving to Tahoe). I saw at least 5 brides in South Lake Tahoe, 2 other wedding celebrations. August 7th was a huge day for weddings. I had numerous inquiries for that Saturday, but I totally lucked out with Laurie and Drew, who were so freaking chill, even the weather was totally crazy, but bonus on them, they decided on an evening ceremony, which saved the outdoor activities tremendously. They married at Round Hill Pines Beach and celebrated following at Tep’s Villa Roma in South Lake. Many many thanks to Christina Perry and her crew, of Quality Event Design, who without them and their design and organization, we would’ve all been running with our heads chopped off. Thank you so much Laurie and Drew for allowing me into your lives! Now, when do I get to photograph a full head of hair baby of yours?
