I never knew how much Midtown Reno could be this much fun. July is Artown, which brings art and culture events during the entire month to Reno. Never have participated in Artown, I joined up with some local photographers for Fash Mob Reno. The idea behind Fash Mob Reno was a play off of Flash Mob, where the models walk the runway through Midtown Reno showing off incredible fashion followed by a DJ spinning music. It was an amazing event to see all the people enjoying Midtown and the startled looks of confusion as the models walked through Midtown. At one time I lived in Portland, Oregon before the Henry Weinhard’s brewery was demolished, and the Pearl District became the artistic affluence that it is today. Midtown Reno is beginning a similar energy. Reno is definitely up and coming. I can not wait to see how it evolves over the next few years. It’s definitely amazing to work with so many different photographers on an event and to see what everyone’s vision is.
