Back in August, I had the immense pleasure of photographing Melissa and Ryan’s wedding at Northstar at Tahoe with my second photographer, Amy, that I brought up from Oakland. Amy and I had gone to college together in Flagstaff, and am extremely blessed she is living back in the States and close by. Melissa and Ryan live in Maryland and booked me to photograph their engagement session and wedding from afar. I love it when my clients entrust me without meeting me to photograph them. I love the goodness in people. Because I try to be a good person, although sometimes outspoken (if you know differently, hell, lemme know!). I work at Northstar in the winter, been preparing lately to get into ski shape, so I don’t hurt myself teaching this winter. I tell you, it’s very odd to spend so much time in the Galaxy without snow. (The Galaxy is where us kids’ instructors teach the 6 years and younger, although coordination and ability, we’ll promote up to mid-mountain to ride the big lifts!) Now as snow is in the forecast, I’m definitely excited to get my slidin’ on. One of the best things about me and Amy photographing Melissa and Ryan’s wedding, was OBVIOUSLY how much Ryan showed his affection for his beautiful bride, it was so awesome, so incredibly endearing. Second thing that was so great about their wedding, was Amy capturing the photo of one of the children ordering a drink at the bar, and the blinding shot of our “Charlie Brown” boy playing with his dad’s camera and blinding himself. He didn’t seem to suffer too much as he definitely enjoyed the Smores at the fire. Smores are awesome. I love them so much, but then I just love dark chocolate and graham crackers. Oh yeah out of chocolate, try dipping your graham crackers in apple sauce. One of my childhood favorites. Okay I’m hungry now. Many blessings and thank yous to Melissa and Ryan for including us into their wedding. And many kudos to Holly Fleur, who created the most amazing florals!
